Pulpwood prices falling around the world
Wood fiber costs fell for many hardwood pulp-producing countries worldwide in the first quarter of 2020. The biggest declines (in US-$ terms) were seen in the US South, Russia, and Latin America, where compared to the last quarter of 2019 hardwood pulplog prices were down between 5 and 10%.
