Swanson Group to permanently close its Glendale sawmill
Swanson Group has announced that it will permanently close its Glendale, Oregon, sawmill, which has been operated by the Swanson family since 1951. Back in October 2018, the company said that the mill would be down for one week from March 4, citing log and market conditions. According to a Random Lengths' report, Swanson said the closure was necessitated by log supply constraints forced on the company by federal timber policy.
