Nordic timber companies see volatility and margin squeeze in first half 2025
Six major Nordic timber and forest industry companies posted mixed results in the first half of 2025 as high raw material costs, global trade tensions and currency volatility weighed on profitability. Finland’s Koskisen Corporation, focused on softwood lumber and panels, was the strongest performer. Revenue rose 24.3% year-on-year to €176.0 million ($205.5 million) while adjusted EBITDA increased 33.2% to €19.8 million.
