Russia continues to reduce timber export volumes in 2024
In January-July 2024, Russian forestry companies reduced their timber exports. According to "Roslesinforg" ((the forest inventory organization), data timber exports from Russia saw a 4% year-on-year decrease. Over the six-month period, Russia exported 13 million cubic meters of softwood lumber and roundwood, 4% less than the same period last year. More than half of the exports (7.4 million cubic meters) traditionally went to China, marking a 4% drop year-on-year.
